Almost Summer

Well, it has finally warmed up here in Colorado. 

We've been spending lots of time outside,

spotting our neighborhood bear family,

went to Kansas City for Mother's Day,

going to the Trampoline Gym,

playing w/ Momma's garage sale finds and

have been spending time up at camp playing in the water and riding 4-wheelers.

Keean turns 2!

We celebrated Keean's birthday on May 1st this year.  Both sets of grandparents, AJ, and Uncle Lucas came.  Brett, Jen and the boys were in VA.  We had a pizza lunch.  Since Keean loves donuts so much, I decided to have a donut pyramid for him.  He also had a little bundt cake so he could blow out the candle.  He got a big kick out of us singing Happy Birthday to him.

  We got him a swing set for his birthday which Grandpa helped dis-assemble and re-assemble.  Nana and Papa got him a sandbox and fire truck.  He got a dog backpack and a Handy Manny activity book from Grandma and Grandpa.  He got fun vehicles from the Bocks and the Olanders.  It was a good day!

My Hiking Partner

Keean has become my hiking partner.  We say we are going on an adventure.  Last year he could only ride on Momma's back.  He still rides on Momma's back but now he can hike on his own too.  He usually rides until this Momma feels like she got enough exercise and went where she wanted to go.  Then Keean gets to hike.  He is very cute to watch.  I usually follow him on the trail wherever he wants to go.  Sometimes it is slow moving and other times he's running.  So far we've been to Ute Park a few times, Blodgett Park w/ Daddy and we went to Glen Eyrie with Papa. I look forward to more adventures as the weather allows us!

We didn't see these on our hikes but in our own yard!  I opened the curtains to see 3 bears coming around the corner of my next door neighbors deck.  I grabbed Keean and showed him.  Then we went to the front window to watch them.  Then I grabbed the camera and went upstairs and put Keean on the couch and I went on the porch and took a picture.  I came back in and took the rest.....
